We have started to incorporate AI rendering into our Landscape Architecture workflow. We have found it to be a super useful tool that lets BLOCS provide our clients with more renderings earlier in the design process.
While there were some learning curves in the beginning (mostly related to prompting the AI not to modify the image), we have started to refine our approach. We are now able to generate renderings from a very basic schematic SketchUp model. We have experimented with different render styles to find the right way to showcase the work at such an early stage.
Hyperrealistic works well to show details, but using AI rendering can lead to small changes that may not accurately reflect the design. Watercolor hides the inaccuracies and really illustrates the ‘feeling’ of the space, but lacks information that our clients like to see.
