Goal

Designed to provide a vibrant, engaging environment, this assisted living and memory care facility prioritizes well-being, social connection, and access to nature and sets itself apart from other assisted living facilities. Inspired by the surrounding wine country, the goal was to create welcoming outdoor spaces that encourage residents to gather, relax, and enjoy the landscape.

Process:

We focused on designing for people first, crafting a space that blends functionality, comfort, and regional character. Thoughtful outdoor elements—garden beds, outdoor dining, and decorative grape vineyards—were integrated to create an environment that supports daily activity and sensory engagement.

Results:

The completed facility offers a highly marketable, resort-inspired living environment that enhances resident satisfaction and sets a new standard for senior living. The thoughtfully designed outdoor spaces—including a spacious central courtyard, garden beds, and vineyard-inspired landscaping—create a strong sense of place that differentiates the development in a competitive market. By prioritizing functionality, aesthetics, and resident experience, the design adds long-term value, supporting occupancy rates and overall project success.
